Task 4: Student Designed Investigation
Encourage students to formulate a research question from their observation Task One. Students may brainstorm as a class or in pairs investigation topics and questions. Student support in finding an appropriate investigation topic and formulating a research question is necessary to limit difficulties during the data collection process. Instruction sheet with details of investigation and Poster creation are included below.

Science Inquiry Skills:
Identify questions, problems and claims that can be investigated scientifically and make predictions based on scientific knowledge (VCSIS107)
​Collaboratively and individually plan and conduct a range of investigation types, including fieldwork and experiments, ensuring safety and ethical guidelines are followed (VCSIS108)
